By John Ippolito - Recently in my reading I ran across this list of names, and it struck me that I had perhaps not paid much attention to them in the past. These five names are somewhat obscure and, at first glance, you may not recognize them without the scriptural context. I have purposely left out the first two because they are a giveaway. Adding in the context you will immediately recognize their significance:
Please note the following invitation for our anglophone credential holders and non-credentialed pastoral leader couples. Don’t forget to put September 25th on your agenda. Our guests will be Éric and Rachel Dufour who work with Larry and Lorrie Russell at Shepherd’s Heart Ministries. As you can find out by reading their brief bio, they have acquired a rich ministry experience that will certainly be most beneficial to us. (Click here to read their bio.)
We are very pleased to announce this seminar that will be open to pastors and their spouse but also to all the leaders in the local church with their pastor’s recommendation. A Life Counsellor can play a vital role in the life of people by being a confidant with whom one can share his/her personal, family or relational challenges.
We are pleased to announce that we will hold a Men’s Conference at Trinity, LaSalle, on November 8, 2014. This provincial conference will be bilingual and is organized in cooperation with the Men’s Ministries of Trinity, Gospelvie and the Assemblée du plein évangile LaSalle. Do not miss this opportunity to be equipped, refreshed and encouraged, for God wants his sons to be in good health in every aspect of their lives and to walk toward their destiny in full freedom.

Pierre Bergeron is our mentoring and leadership consultant. You will certainly enjoy this blog entry - My leadership mentor, John C Maxwell, wrote a book entitled “The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership, Follow Them and People Will Follow You”. One of the reasons why I’m interested in his leadership material is that he pastored for 25 years and does not hide the fact that all his leadership principles are rooted in the Bible.
We are pleased to introduce Yves and Françoise Michaud, a couple preparing to leave our province as PAOC global workers to Thailand. They would be pleased to share the great need of Thailand and how God has called them to respond at this point in their lives. If you would like to invite them, you can contact them as indicated on the poster below.
An ordination is certainly more than “just” a ceremony. It is also an opportunity to witness God’s grace in one’s life and ministry, and to affirm and encourage a pastor, his family and congregation. It was pastor Paul Tétreautl’s privilege to lead the church through this special moment.
We are excited about purposes and plans that God has placed in our hearts. Have you ever had something that’s burning inside of you and it’s got to get out? Like a fire that “Burns bright”, God has been reminding me that He’s freed me to tell a story of his grace and its not for us to hold on to. June 2005, in New York City (Times Square Church), God whispered in my spirit that it was time to tell our story.
Certainly this wouldn’t be true of all our churches, but there is quite a message and a warning in these lines. “Looking around the church last Sunday I noticed that the majority weren’t singing. And most of those who were singing barely moved their lips. The only voices I actually heard were those on stage with microphones…”
Pastor François Labelle shares: « Since the beginning of last Fall, the Lord had started laying on our hearts that we were about to enter a season of harvest. Indeed, a few people ended up contacting the church, then receiving the testimony of the Gospel. Out of all these contacts, most of them more or less attended evenings of teaching for new believers.

Don’t miss this amazing report to the glory of God: “It is a wonderful thing when you see the church serving in a loving and caring manner and working together in one accord to be like our Lord and Saviour. It was my privilege to witness the church in action here in Guinea as we laid to rest our friend and colleague William (Bill) Pharand…”
For the second year in a row, we were able to be present and hold a booth at the Rimouski Agricultural Fair, which was held from July 30th to August 3rd. The booth was shared with the Fellowship of Christian Farmers Canada. We were approached by approximately 2,000 visitors of all ages, about 500 more than last year, offering them a free item displaying the five colors through which we briefly explain the salvation plan.
The persecution of believers around the world has certainly increased drastically recently and made quite obvious by the media. We cannot afford not to make room in our hearts and our church agendas to inform our people and challenge them to pray for the over 200 million brothers and sisters who are suffering right now for their faith.
