Update: April 2020

The 2020 General conference is back on and is now a one day online conference.
Here is a message from David Wells, General Superintendent:

In a challenging time, we trust you were able to enjoy a meaningful Easter season with your loved ones and to worship in spirit, if not in person, with the congregation members you’re usually connected to. It’s comforting to be reminded of the truth of 2 Chronicles 16:9a (NIV): “For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.” Our hearts, thoughts, and most certainly our prayers continue to be with you as you navigate your current reality, trusting the Lord to grant you renewed strength each day.

To our pastors: if you haven’t already, we encourage you to register for General Conference 2020, and look forward to having you join our one-day online gathering on Tuesday, May 5, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. EDT (Eastern Daylight Time). We’ll be using this condensed time to focus on key areas of business so that we can move forward as a Fellowship with clear direction into a new and unprecedented season. We’ll also be able to hear the results of a recent survey from our Strategic Vision Committee, and a presentation from our Theological Study Commission, hosted by Van Johnson.

Only voting members are to register. Non-voting members are invited to watch the General Conference online (this information will be provided closer to the date. Visit our website to register.)
Additional updates will be sent between now and May 5.
Thank you to our voting members for taking the time to register and be a part of this vital day.

Our prayer is that it will be a day the Spirit speaks to our hearts about the next steps we take together as a Fellowship, and that we will be encouraged in our mission together to make disciples wherever the Lord leads, working in unity, and commanding the Lord’s blessing (Psalm 133).

In His service,

David R. Wells

Here are welcome messages from:

David Wells, General Superintendent:
“I welcome you as you join us for General Conference 2020 in the vibrant maritime city of Halifax, Nova Scotia. We want to express our sincere gratitude to District Superintendent Kevin Johnson and the Maritime District for their invitation to come to one of Canada’s great historic cities. Personally, it is very meaningful to me to have our conference commencing with the Maritime district’s welcome event at Pier 21 on Monday evening, May 4.”

Kevin Johnson, District Superintendent:
“On behalf of the Maritime District family, Annemarie and I warmly welcome you to Halifax, Nova Scotia, for General Conference 2020. We are thrilled to host our PAOC family and friends in the picturesque ocean port city of Halifax.
Our District prayer team has been interceding for this Conference for many months. God is all powerful and we are expecting Him to perform miracles, open our hearts, and speak to us prophetically during these days. We want you to be renewed, refilled, and refocused in order to pursue the calling God has on your life.”
