Unplug – A Winter Retreat

It is a weekend for young adults looking to unplug from the complexities of city life.
We want to get out to a place of retreat and into the outdoors to search our busy souls and restore a clear view of the things that matter.
Start the year off right: reconnect with Christ, reconnect with community.
“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full…” (Jesus in John 10:10)

A few options! We’ve returned the “pre-retreat” Thursday option for those who want a little extra time away!
- Early bird Thursday to Sunday (ends Sunday, October 27 @midnight): $235
- Regular Thursday to Sunday (deadline is December 15 @midnight): $265
- Early bird Friday to Sunday only (ends Sunday, October 27 @midnight): $205
- Regular Friday to Sunday only (deadline is December 15 @midnight): $235
INCLUDES: Retreat sessions, single bed in boys or girls dorm, 5 dining room meals, morning/evening snacks, outdoor & indoor activities (see next tab for more info…). See venue details HERE.
* Financial sponsorships will be handled within the individual’s church, or communication with ministry leaders and the UNPLUG Planning Committee.

OPTIONAL “UPGRADES”:
– Private room for couples: $30 extra per night
– 1-hour snowmobile tours: $75 (limited spots)
ACTIVITIES:
Parkside Ranch has many great options for our Friday to Sunday free time: snowshoeing, snow tubing, board games, campfires, Skating, a full gym (basketball, hockey, etc), snowmobile tours* and more!
TRANSPORTATION:
Options are simple for getting to Parkside Ranch: ⬇️
*It will be up to each church to organize its own lifts for its own people*
We suggest:
- Drive and/or Carpool (give your driver $10 for gas, or else… )
- Split a rental car with 4 or 5 other people
A PACKING LIST (will be sent after you register):
But includes things like…
- Indoor clothing
- Outdoor winter clothing (insulated coat/pants, winter hat, winter gloves, winter scarf)
- Indoor shoes/slippers, outdoor winter boots (BOOTS, people!)
- Sports clothing/shoes
- Bible/pen/notebook
- Toiletries

️Guest Speaker: Paul Kholsa
Paul lives in Halifax, NS with his wife Diana and two beautiful and curious children. He has the privilege of being Lead Pastor of Faith City Church, is a Christ-centred leader, artist, and innovator. With over 20 years in pastoral ministry, serving in various pastoral and leadership roles, Paul has developed an unyielding passion for discipleship and a heart to see the Church serve the communities around it.
In the organizations he has served, Paul has a track record of creativity, innovation, discipleship, sustainable development and strong leadership, rooted in serving. Learning is a lifelong passion as such, Paul holds a Bachelor of Science, Psychology; Bachelor of Religious Education, Pastoral Ministry; Masters of Arts in Organizational Leadership; and has begun doctoral studies.
