***It is mandatory to have attended Coaching 100 to proceed with the 200-300 training***

A creative and courageous approach to guide others to reach their goals

Description

This training will take place at Manoir d’Youville, and will be offered on Thursday, October 12, 2023 to October 13, 2023.

As a District, we desire for workers to not live and do ministry alone. This program of coaching was created a few years ago to develop coaches in the church context. Coaching responds to several problems, challenges, or questions we can encounter as a worker, but also to the need to be more efficient in ministry.

Note: Should you wish to, you could also become a certified District coach after this training!

The 200-300 training covers the following topics, among others:

  • Asking creative questions;
  • Asking courageous questions;
  • Questioning assumptions and lack of action;
  • Distinguishing between personality and character;
  • Effective coaching tools;
  • Several experiences as coach and coaches;
  • And more…

Options:

  • Registration with accommodation (until September 17, 2023);
  • Registration without accommodation (until October 1st, 2023).

Registrations include (click on the link at the bottom of the page to access tickets):

  • Accommodation (if applicable);
  • Training manual (hard copy and/or digital version);
  • All meals;

Our instructors:

John Caplin (Coach)

If the word “coaching” has become a part of our vocabulary, we could easily underestimate how this approach could be a real asset in our ministry. During seminars – brief, very practical, and participative – John Caplin, an experienced pastor-coach, brings the participants to discover how to help those around them to serve better and reach their objectives.

* John Caplin will be with us for the very last time.

Charles Porter (Coach)

Charles Porter has been in ministry since 1997; he has been an associate pastor, senior pastor, church planter, and with University ministries. He began formalcoaching in 2016. Having grown up in Europe, Charles learned French as a child. For 13 years, he and his spouse worked in East Africa. He has a masters in Organizational Leadership and loves to serve pastors and leaders in discovering the stories that make up our bigger God story. Charles has been married to Tahnya for 25 years, and together they have three children, Joshua, Alana and Riley.
